Along with three other community groups, Citizens for a Greater Downtown has released a paper the seeks to shed some light on the homelessness issue in the City of St. Louis. The “Unhoused Bill of Rights” that was introduced in the Board of Aldermen in late 2023 would profoundly affect neighborhoods in the City, and particularly Downtown. Much of the bill was based on claims made by proponents that don’t stand up to common sense scrutiny. Our report provides meaningful data that we hope will inform future debate on the homelessness issue.
